Spacious villa with enormous (15 metre long) private pool set in over 4,500 square metres of enclosed gardens in the exclusive, tranquil residential area of Sant Jordi d'Alfama on the Costa Dorada. This area of Spain is largely undiscovered and unspoilt by mass tourism. Casa Case has been delightfully furnished and well equipped to provide ample accommodation for up to 14 people (plus 1 baby in cot and 4 additional folding beds) in comfort. The unique layout of our villa makes it particularly suitable for large groups as there are four guest suites (consisting of a double-bedroom, en suite wet room and lounge) and the master suite has it’s own balcony thus providing private space if required.

Casa Case is situated in Catalonia on the costal plain between the Mediterranean and the mountains. It is easily accessible - junction 39 of the AP7 auto route and just off the N340 at 1,117 km. This part of Catalonia is known as the Costa Dorada (golden coast) so called because of the colour of the sands. Within a short drive of Casa Case are lots of small coves and fine sandy beaches - some blue flag awarded. The nearby (5km) fishing village of L’Ametlla de Mar is a typical Catalonian village with plenty of bars and restaurants – a gastronomic delight. This area has such a variety to offer. Within 30 min drive of Casa Case are: • The River Ebro with it’s spectacular scenery, its diversity of flora and fauna, its magnificent fish and the Delta nature reserves. • Tarragona with its modern shopping centre and roman remains. • Port Aventura and water parks. • Reus, the birthplace of Gaudi. • The historic town of Tortossa.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The prices above are based on a maximum of 14 people plus 1 baby in the travel cot. We have 4 additional folding single beds available for £50 (or €50) per bed per week (inclusive of bed linen and towels for indoor use).

    Smaller parties - prices from £600 per week - please enquire for further details.
  • The price includes: bed linen (beds will be made up ready for your arrival), towels (for indoor use), travel cot and highchair (on request at no extra charge), weekly cleaning, pool and garden maintenance (one or two visits during the week), gas, electricity and water.

    Casa Case is personally managed by the owners who live a short distance away and are available to answer queries, assist with any problems, etc. We can also get shopping for you if you are arriving late.
  • Payment in £ GBP or € Euros. On booking 20% of the total rent will be required. The balance of the rent must be paid at least one calendar month prior to the booking date. There is a discount of 5% for second and subsequent weeks. A damage/security deposit of £300 or €300 will be payable on arrival. This will be refunded on your departure providing everything is OK. For rentals longer than one week, the villa will be cleaned and bed linen and towels changed weekly.

Additional facilities:: About 200 m from Casa Case is La Tasca, a small bar/restaurant. Just outside is a multi-purpose games area (marked for basketball, football, etc), a childrens play area and boule court. A little further along the road is a chapel where services are held on Saturday evenings in summer. Nearby is the large urbanisation swimming pool and children' pool. About 5 min from Casa Case are the urbanisation tennis courts (please bring your own rackets).

Activities in L'Ametlla de Mar: Each year the local town hall run a programme of activities. 13 in Spain!!!

There were 13 of us - friends from England and from all walks of life - spending a week together which could have been a recipe for disaster - however, we all had a great time, with space for us to do our own thing. We had 4 cars between us - absolute necessity.

Everything about this property was as described, location, layout and the facilities - which were great. It was a good destination, very close to all the major attractions in the area - the town of Cambrils was charming and only 20 kms up the coast. The main road was a little busy to turn onto though.

The owners provided really good customer service, meeting us at the villa and showing us around. They were a mine of information about where to go and what to see.

I would definitely recommend this property to friends, and would like to think that should we visit this part of Spain again, then we would have no hesitation in staying at Casa Case.

A car was a necessity, and the restaurant 200 yards away didnt appear to be open at the time of year we were staying.

The local beach was charming, sandy and safe although it was a drive away - the beach bar was still open in early September and provided a bit of shade whilst sipping a Sangria.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: We're pleased everyone had a good time. Cars are necessary to make the most of your holiday. Sorry the nearby restaurant was closed for their holidays after the busy summer season. Fortunately, there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the nearest town, L'Ametlla de Mar.

A week at Casa Case

11 members (3 generations) of our family stayed at Casa Case in September 08. It was wonderful - the owners are very friendly and very helpful. The accommodation is fantastic with the four suites giving the opportunity of getting away from the 'madding crowd' for a brief spell. The Casa has every amenity that one could want, including DVDs and books (which you can swap for one of yours if you haven't finished it!). A car is essential as the beach and local village are just too far to walk. L'Ametlla del Mar has lots of good restaurants at reasonable prices. The pool is unguarded which meant, with a lively 2 year old as one of the party, everyone has to be vigilant.We would heartily recommend it.

Our perfect Holiday

We rented this property for a week with a group of 5 carers and 7 adults with learning disabilities and it was absolutely ideal.
The owners ensured we arrived safely, showed us where the local shop was and gave us a tour of the property. The property was beautiful, with its four guest suites with their own private showers it was just what we were looking for. Each room had its own fridge and water, tea, coffee and milk was supplied in each.
The grounds were spacious with plenty of room for activities and the pool was ideal as it started shallow going gradually deeper.
Fabulous villa, fabulous surroundings and very welcoming owners!

Very good for four families

We founded what we see on internet.
The owners were very kind and we had not any problems.
Villa was marvellous.
Nice coves and a good sea were at disposition. There were not so many people on the beach.
L'ametla de mar was non so good.
We founded little cheap restaurants cheap near the house.
Tennis free near the villa (1 km), very nice swimming pool.
On sunday masse was at 500 metres from our villa.
We were 4 italian families with 8 children fron 7 to 20 years old (totally 16).
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
